English Paper Piecing (sometimes referred to simply as EPP) is an old hand sewing technique using paper templates to stabilize fabric and create accurate shapes. You can paper piece many different shapes. It’s easy when you get the hang of it, and because this is hand-sewing it is a great project to pack up and take along you. This beginner's class will focus on the most popular shape, the hexagon.
What to bring:
- Hexagon papers (pick a size)
- Hexagon template (size to suit papers)
- Milliners needle
- Bottom Line thread preferred or polyester thread
- Glue pen
- Fabric marker
- Rotary cutter
- Rotating cutting mat or small cutting mat
